Afghans

One defination is a woolen blanket or shawl, typically one knitted or crocheted in strips or squares.  This is a collection of beautiful, one of a kind, knitted afghans.  Many afghans are made from individual crocheted squares, called "granny squares" and are stitched together into one big, blanket. Other afghans are striped or composed of large blocks of color.  

You might spend Friday night curled up on the couch under an afghan watching old movies on TV.
